Without a doubt, the best lunch in town is the legendary fish soup in 4 vuodenaikaa, in Kauppahalli (indoor food market). I thought they would never reveal the recipe, so was astonished to find it in the otherwise totally useless Talouselämä Platinum magazine. Thank goodness I decided to browse it through!
I won't copy the recipe here, but will reveal that the secret is saffron!
Our homemade version was not as good (it all depends on the fish stock, I think), but pretty damn good anyway!
